Tryst

This Off-Broadway tale of two people is rather interesting in that the two people involved, a con man named George Love (played by Maxwell Caulfield from Grease 2) and his latest love interest Adelaide, alternate the telling.

At one moment they narrate from outside the story, as if they are explaining what is happening, and the next moment they are telling the story in a more normal fashion, acting it out as it happens.

George is a serial womanizer, marrying women and then running off with whatever money he can take from them. Adelaide is different however, and he can’t seem to get away from her on their wedding night, and what’s more is she seems to see through him, and proposes that they go into business together instead of him running off with her money.

George sees that Adelaide is different, so he considers her proposal and debates with himself and with Adelaide how to best deal with this new twist of events, but if you want to know the ending you’ll just have to check it out for yourself.
