The Sopranos Recap: The Blue Comet

Now we're talking. Sil brings some action back to the series when he takes a garrotte to stir the pot.Talk about old school. Way to go, Sil.

But that isn't the end of it. Paulie sets up the murder of Phil as well. Unfortunately it doesn't go all that well, since Corky, the guy doing the deed, doesn't seem to have a clue who Phil is, and takes out Phil's mistress and her father instead.

Oh well, at least things are interesting again, right?

Meanwhile, Bobby goes to a toy store to pick up a model train (really - this is not some euphemism) and while there, he is taken out with a few shots to the chest. Then Patsy and Sil get into a gunfight at the Bada Bing!, where Sil is left for dead while Patsy takes off.

On the boring side of things, Doctor Melfi is out to dinner with her colleagues and they start talking about a study that claims sociopaths take advantage of therapy to become better criminals. Nice. Wonder if we know anyone like that? During this conversation, her ever-helpful boyfriend, Doctor Elliot, tells the group that she is treating Tony. Though Melfi isn't happy with his actions, she reads the study and ditches Tony at their next session. She should have rid herself of Elliot instead. What a weasel.
